— 5 days ago

La Cave de l'Abbé Rous

Cuvée des Peintres Collioure Grenache Blend 2020

Cherry, blackberry, plum, licorice, garrigue. Very nice nose. The palate is well made and shows some nice spice (black pepper), blackberry and cherry, a good width and some matter on the side, a vivid mouthfeel with a grip, some light tannins that caress before a long finish with black fruits and licorice in retro. Quite good indeed! We had it along a great moussaka made by Mrs M. and it was great. — 22 days ago

@Tom Casagrande highly recommended! This is very cheap, still relatively low profile and delicious. A priorat from the other side of the border

Cave Caloz (Anne-Carole et Conrad Caloz)

La Mourziere Les Coteaux de Sierre Humagne 2019

An interesting chasselas that reminds me of a burgundy. Earthy and floral in equal parts with a mineral acidity coming out as it aerates more. Drank it by itself but would be a good compliment for a creamy pasta or polenta dish. — a day ago

La Cave du Prieuré Compostelle Mondeuse 2019

9.1

Just delicious! I’ve had great luck w/Savoie wines and this was no different: pours extremely dark, inky, opaque, brooding taking its time to unfurl black & red fruit w/depth, earthy w/a hi tone note along with licorice and forest floor. Big mouth filling broad across palate, gobs of fruit but all fit into sturdy tannic frame. Well cut - a Country Squire — 15 days ago

Tasted at Gigondas cave and opened one tonight. Recommend chilling to cellar temp and 1-2 hours open before drinking. — 7 days ago

Great wine . Probably waited too long to drink. Less complexity. Great nose early changes as it sits — 6 days ago

Margariat Saint-Joseph Syrah 2019

Starts weighty and earthy, but becomes pretty with a few days. Earth, grape, brine, berry. Tannins are grippy and forbidding, actually quite bitter, but then this does have promising seductiveness and finesse. — 10 days ago

Cave St. Pierre

Réserve des Administrateurs Johannisberg De Chamoson 2020

I really like the Johannisberg grape in the alpine Valais region. Kind of a softer, subtler, drier Sauvignon Blanc, and very Swiss. Good acidity and clarity in this one. — 6 days ago

Cuvée Isaline Saint Joseph blanc Marsanne Roussanne 2019

Straight up jasmine perfume. Complex herbal bouquet, juniper and rosemary along with cracker jacks and buttercream icing. Brilliant, deliciously subtle edge of mineral and spice. The @Lyle Fass northern rhone blanc portfolio is stunning and eye opening. This has insane drinkability. Pushing 9.6.

@Delectable Wine this is the Isaline blanc.

thanks Josh. it’s my pet project, more of a vanity project as more people prefer riesling and chardonnay but I love the stuff and will keep bringing it in.
