Smokey dark red cherry, menthol, eucalyptus, cooked mushrooms, and barnyard funk on the nose. The palate presents dark cherry, cinnamon, clove, cooked strawberry, rhubarb, fresh strawberry, cranberry, and minerals. Low tannins, medium alcohol, high acid, and long finish. Excellent SLH. — 2 years ago
A limited bottling of a Caraccioli SLH pinot. Well balanced, nice cherry and ripe strawberry fruit, with a medium finish. — 4 months ago
Grower bubbles from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Still can’t compete with top tier grower champagne (we don’t get that phenolic maturity at low brix etc) BUT excellent none the less. The rosé from Caraccioli especially stands out. The 1-2% SLH Pinot brings an element of coastal Cali terroir to this wine (the tiniest hint of that strawberry, herbal quality) which blends so perfectly with the lemon juice and marzipan/vanilla/lanolin leesy quality. Fine persistent mousse. One of the best examples of domestic sparkling I’ve had. — 10 months ago

Initially a bit less character so throw it in a decanter for 20 or 30 if you can. If you like fruity Pinot from central coast give this a shot and then maybe try some Beauj after. A good crowd pleaser especially after a little bit of air. — a year ago
