Oakwild Ranch

Toboni Vineyard Pinot Noir 2016

Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity. Very pretty.

On the nose bing cherries, blueberries, spices, light oak, light red candy, earth and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with bing cherries, raspberries, blueberries, light wood, light earth, spices and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 4 year old Pinot Noir from Sonoma County is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Fruit forward and easy drinking with a spicy finish. Fun wine and very tasty now. Alcohol is nicely integrated by now.

Will continue to drink nicely in the next 3 to 5 years.

Good right out of the bottle. I gave it a light chill and had it by the pool. Paired nicely with a Double cream Brie cheese.

100% Pinot Noir grapes from a Single Vineyard. A small production of only 92 cases. Aged in 30% new oak barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

89 points.

Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

If anyone who follows me doesn’t have this wine, then I implore you to buy it. @Anthony Biagi = NAPA Legend and a phenomenal, humble winemaker who truly appreciates those who love wine. I’m not even mentioning that from a price point, it’s ridiculous. This is just a great, juicy full-bodied wine. — 22 days ago

Wonderful valley fruit that is expressing nicely. Dark fruit, cassis, fully integrated tannins, and hints of oak that make this wine sparkle! This is a winner and one worth exploring! — 9 hours ago

Turley

Steacy Ranch Zinfandel 2017

Medium purple with light ruby red accents. Spice is all over this baby from the jump. Black and white pepper, along with baking spices. Red fruits mingle with blackberry cobbler and cinnamon. Fresh cut grass and little traces of beautiful violets on the back end.

Incredibly dense and just plain lovely. Since this is a Turley we already know that this will not be an over the top syrupy fruit bomb mess. Where other Zins zig and zag, they continuously stay the course. Decadent and elegant, this has a lush mouthfeel and firm tannins. Highly concentrated but never in a bad way.

Cherries bat lead off on the robust palate with vanilla and more blackberries. Smoke, spice, and oak are present with moist soil. Wonderful new leather plays a back up role. Roasted coffee on the long finish. This is not a fruit forward Zinfandel unlike so many others. This is just delicious.

My fave Syrah bottling of theirs. What vintage? Getting impatient on a 2015 in my cellar but I’m sure it could use a while longer

@Matt Perlman 2010. My rule of thumb with these is 10 years tends to be a sweet spot. That said, it’s incredibly hard to keep the corks in these. So tasty.

Very aromatic on the nose. Intense tropical fruit flavours. The slightly off dry taste means that it needs to be matched with the right food. — a day ago
