Always a value and in 19 a superstar value. Deep, penetrating nose. Huge black cherry, dark red cherry, cherry skin, backed up by unreal minerality. So clear and deep. Much more serious than the Cabottes. Spice and earth. The full Burgundian symphony. Such a sappy nose. 9.4 nose. Just brilliant! Wow, what concentration and purity. Unreal. So sappy and pure but so fresh. Insane tiny berry fruit intensity. So so good. Structured as well and seems slightly clipped on the back end for now. But air will surely cure that. As I just took a sip the finish is extending and expanding as is the back palate and that gamey note comes through. Best version of this ever. A benchmark. — 4 hours ago

Pop and pour. Could have waited til.next.year based on the NM tasting note, but would be missing out. On the nose: omg, I have been missing this purity: dense, sweet wild strawberry, soft plum, cinnamon spice, soft leafy notes. On the palate: fantastic acidity, strawberry, spice, soft plum. Explosive nose full of CLB spice and piercing red fruit and violets. Hardly any reduction here on the pnp. It continued to gain weight and complexity over time. Complexity as well as intensity both on the nose and the palate that is just simply not associated with village wine. It’s so pure, balanced and transparent, and continued to blossom and expand over the course of dinner. Tannins are smooth and fine grained and the finish is very persistent. — 10 days ago
What fruit! Stanky red and black cherries. Great clarity and so vivid. Stunning Cabottes. Great tangy black cherry fruit and terrific intensity and purity. Really clear vivid fruit. Nose also has gorgeous florals and earth. 19 reds rock. Such freshness and volume. Sweet and ripe tannins. Seriously great value burg here. A very rare bird almost impossible to find where the production on their 9 plots only amounts to a total of 9000 btls. I discovered their wines when I attended a Bizot tasting & lunch at Marea in Feb 2020 where I found their whole cluster wines had this beautiful purity of fruit & transparency. This btl was no different offering up an amazing nose of red cherry & berry fruits, lush & pure on the palate with baking spices, floral & mineral notes. Pop and pour, bc I was hoping that lightning might strike twice (Ron Hextall, anyone, anyone?). So close (geographically) to the charme aux prêtres, but so different...still very good. On the nose:.much darker, with more plum and a touch of black raspberry, but still the signature house spice. On the palate: blackberry, cinnamon, allspice, fantastic acidity and density...soft tannin on the spicy finish. — 6 days ago
Always a favorite and it smokes in 19. Nose starts out shy and buttery. Some minerals peeking out. But all in all one smells the density but also senses it’s holding back. But that palate brings it. Electric, retesting, mineral and deep. Some apple fruit and also some citrus but the texture, freshness and mineral complexity tell the story here. Terrific length. Best since 14. Absolutely stunning. Quite the contrast to the Colombiere, as this is much more serious and structured and the Aux Cras terroir shines through. New oak is more prevalent, of course, but it’s so integrated already and doesn’t get in the way. The nose is incredibly intense and aromas of dark fruit, sweet spice and a wet rock minerality waft from the glass. While this wine is let’s say, more masculine and less sexy than the Colombiere, there is still a seductive Vosne-like perfume that’s so undeniably CLB and lures you in. The palate is powerful and is full of energy, while at the same time remaining focused and seamlessly delineated. To no surprise length is superior to the Colombiere. Totally irresistible now, but boy this will be a knockout down the road. — 10 days ago
Nose has neverending crushing of flint/granite, warm lemon curd, salted yellow apple slice, cool Asian pear and old, crystalline cheddar.
Palate has ripe pineapple, over-ripe yellow apple, moist chalk/limestone, dried coconut shreds, faint butter notes, table salt with medium acidity. A great wine, slow oxidation for 2H then decanted 3H, so many years in front of this amazing bottle. Drink this 2026-2030 from proper storage.
