Now we’re talkin. Haven’t had a Sizzano in like 37 years. Dang. Relatively youthful color. Nose is lively and high-toned. Floral, bright cherry and red fruit, loads of crushed rock-infused dry warm gravel. Intense yet light-footed in the mouth. Forceful acidity buoys macerated cherry flavors that turn minerally as the finish extends. Some soft tannin hidden in there too. Will last and improve over the next several years but really fine now. Inky color. Dense and aggressive on the palate. Nose is macho, with lots of pungent purply berry fruit, lots of graphite and dark minerals. Tannins aren’t too bad though. Maybe wasn’t the wisest pull on a 90 degree evening but it’s putting on a show. — 24 days ago
Beautiful nature wine nebbiolo. Dark cherries and good dose of tannins. Long aftertaste. 2018 — 17 days ago

Strawberry and cherry on the nose.
Dry and liquorice finish
Beautiful wine. — 6 days ago
N: Tar, licorice, leather, Balsam, tobacco,
Dirty floors, Something funky and mossy.
P: Cherries, raspberries, cocoa, some earth, leather. Palate is lighter than expected, med long finish, nicely integrated tannins.
After extended air, 1-11/2 hrs, this really deepened. Some plums show up and the tannins stand up and say hi! — 2 months ago
