2020 vintage…much better than previous bottle issued soon after Siduri founder Adam Lee initiated Babs. Dumb bottle, though cute still looks like a jug wine comp. Balanced medium-full bodied soft dark berry…close to the RR Valley Pinots that Lee was known for in the better days of Siduri. — 10 days ago
Bravo Etude, Bravo!
Outstanding execution here, textbook CA PN w/out being overdone or over extracted: just a gorgeous nose of beautifully ripe cherry, strawberry & red plum, generous warm baking spices, smoky tea, vanilla and more. Intoxicating nose mirrored on palate. Med bodied but so generous it drinks bigger. Smooth suave, freshness abounds, seamless through finish. Only minor point is length of finish gives this away as entry level, but for the price: buy a case. — 18 days ago
I’m certain I’ve rated this before but Its worth mentioning again. Such pure expression of fruit. Doubtful you’ll find this example of Syrah under $25 anywhere else. QPR through the roof. — 7 days ago
This is an amazing Roussanne/Viognier blend from Sanguis called Three Sketches of a Dream. 2014, released earlier this year. Highly recommend and indistinguishable from SQN. This has serious depth of flavor and acidity to keep it all together. The finish is long and enjoyable with honey and some citrus notes and maybe cantelope? Gorgeous wine. Serve at cellar temp and let her go. Hats off to Mattias and Elliot on another superb creation. — 20 days ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 57% Syrah, 24% Petite Sirah & 19% Grenache, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, vanilla and smoky spice. On the palate flavors of ripe black cherry and blackberry with vanilla, cacao ondine licorice. Long finish, fine soft tannins, ending with fruit, oak, spice and vanilla. Nice has good short term aging. — 5 days ago
