Crushed peak season strawberries, rhubarb, sour cherries, pink peppercorn, violets, hibiscus, chalk. Incredibly drinkable, crushable, smashable. This wine makes me feel cool. I want to get drunk off of this wine - will always buy a bottle whenever I see one. — 2 days ago
Not much decanting … big bold and with a good balance. — 11 days ago
Extremely smooth and velvety. Would highly recommend. Full bodied but still felt light on the palate. — 24 days ago
Deep, deep garnet with light purple flecks. A classic dusty Napa nose consisting of ripe blackberries, cherries, and menthol. Dusty herbs and warm spices. A touch of smoke and stewed plums. Highly expressive.
73/16/7/4 CS/ME/PV/MB from selected premium vineyards from Rutherford, Atlas Peak, and Carneros. Honestly, what else do you need to know? We all know how Cain gets down at this point. Nothing but beautifully crafted wines. Ripe and excessively smooth, there’s enough complexity here to keep you pondering the absurdities of life for hours. Full bodied and insanely graceful, there’s nothing here not to love.
Smooth and elegant entry with plums and smoked tobacco up front. So much juicy red fruit and vanilla. Herbs are plentiful along with spice. Long sumptuous finish. Drinking nicely now but still has miles to go. Really beautiful stuff. — a day ago

100 days of skin contact sounds almost biblical, but it hits the Goldilock’s “just right” spot just right when it comes to orange wine—in this case Sauvignon Blanc.
Mango, mandarin orange, grapefruit pith, saffron and tumeric with a real salinity - and touch of volcanic earth (pine mountain soils) - on the nose and finish.
When I visited the winery (based in east Oakland), Brett mentioned that a couple of months into the maceration “experiment” the ferment started smelling really funky, but then once day 90 arrived the really funky stuff faded and the wine got pretty. I’d agree; this is a really pretty, very distinctive and texturally exciting wine. — 18 days ago
This bottle tasted a bit better than the last one. Not remembering the price point. — a month ago
