Coto de imaz
Gran reserva 2018
Rioja
Nice rioja. Warmer than I like but it’s hot this summer. Smooth. Floral notes. Easy to drink. Low tannins. Great taste. Highly recommend. Didn’t even loose my taste for drinking after looking at my wife’s cut open finger from the knives i just sharpened. Dry, doesn’t make your mouth pucker. Gets better the more you drink. 9.2. 33$ great value.

Beautiful soft & rich wine. Great with Italian and a little bit of spice. — 4 months ago
This is the best bottle of wine I’ve had from my cellar in years. Nearly perfect. Bought it in 2008 for $30 and one of my great finds. Good lord it was just divine. I’m sure there have been better vintages but I can’t imagine it. — 6 months ago

Started rough and really opened up. Perfectly paired with red sauce — 3 months ago
Excellent with just a bit of breathing, a good deal at $24 which I do not expect to see any time again soon. A good dinner wine, drunk on January 19, 2026. — 9 months ago

2001 vintage. Opened not decanted. Medium body. Lean throughout except for (still) substantial oak presence like a drone posse. Pretty. Maybe another decade diminishes the oak? It must have been overwhelming upon release. 10.2.26. — 23 days ago
