Father’s Day dinner wine from mag and paired with Ribeye, bourbon brats, Korean ribs and rosemary chicken. One of my go to Riojas at a palpable price. Resolved smooth tannins, fully mature, earth driven and enough bright red fruit to provide balance. My all time favorite pic of my mini, Riley, when she had that melt your heart chubby face. Now she’s 15 and 5’10” and no chub in sight ☺️

The only bottle I brought in for office holiday party. Out of 3L. This was really singing on the pop. Smooth resolved tannins, large but supple. Loved it.

Strawberry, red licorice, vanilla with straw/tobacco hints on the nose. Opened up beautifully over dinner and shined paired with Tagliatelle with pork and mushrooms.

Really opened up after the first hour. Dark fruit, oak, smoke with a big mouthfeel and long finish. Prob should have left it in the bottle 5 more years.

2005 CVNE 'Imperial' Grand Reserva #Rioja. Heady aromas of cedar jump from the glass followed by dried black cherry and wild berry notes. Leather and forest floor notes combine on the firm yet silky finish. Probably could use a few more years in the bottle to mellow out. #wine#sommelier#spain
