Such a nice wine for a weeknight dinner. Nose has loads of juicy crunchy plum fruit on the nose, with a whiff of violets. In the mouth, there’s an intense saline minerality, light fruit, and a weightless mouthfeel. There’s a nice bitter note at the end — 12 days ago
Love the Thierry Navarre Saint-Chinians, yet this was a fun change of pace. Bless these vignerons that keep oddball grape varieties alive. Light in body, high in acidity yet kind of darker plum and dried fruit character. — 5 days ago
A blend that usually includes Syrah and merlot....this year 80% cabernet and 20% cab franc...a 2nd wine that got more cab this year since 1st wine from one of the vineyards did not get produced.
2 hour decant (little sediment). A majestic inky purple color. On the nose: dark cherry, vanilla wafer, floral, pepper, cinnamon chocolate. Taste: A medium body, fresh, juicy wine with dark plum, spice, cassis, cedar, with a raspberry mocha medium plus finish. No need to wait, drinking well now with a decant. — 2 days ago
