Picarana is the “village” white, made with Albillo Real or Albillo de Madrid (completely different from Albillo Mayor found in Ribera del Duero) from different sites around San Martín de Valdeiglesias. White fruit, floral notes. Round, quite ripe, moderate acidity. — 9 months ago
Field blend or co-fermented, contains some white varieties. Much more floral and lifted than other RdDs I know— very welcome shift. Alcohol 14% but not noticeable. — 2 years ago
Took a sideways step on a sunny London day and decided to open this; a previous commentator mentioned that it had 15% Albillo in it and that perhaps accounts for the smoothness it has, immediately complicated by rich kirsch cherries. Drinking pretty well right now and could conceivably take another couple years to really show what it can do. — 3 months ago

One of the finest Spanish white wines I’ve had in a long time, it is 100% Albillo from vineyards in La Aguilera. Fermented and aged in oak for almost 3 years. Mineral, flinty smell of recently struck matches and gunpowder, reminiscent of some white Burgundies. Fresh, very complex, great acidity. Spectacular — 2 years ago
This wine from the Canary Islands is bright asks fresh with crisp acidity and plenty of green apple, lemon, wet stone and flint. It also has a rich undercurrent of yellow plum, white peach and fennel and a bit of salinity on the finish. Made for seafood, and Very nice with a pesto and goat cheese pizza — 4 months ago
Very dry but very bright and fruit forward. Dark color. — 2 years ago
Very funky, almost sulphurish. Delicious. — 2 years ago
