A bit heavy-handed and modern in approach. Rich red fruit. Unincorporated oak. Dusty book pages. Earth and spice with a slight green edge. With all its flaws, still a great value at this price point.

Basic crianza! Dusty red fruits. Nothing crazy going on here either way. Better with a slight chill.

Pleasant, classically styled. Medium body, noticeable wood not very complex. Good expression of red fruits.

At Maritime Wine Tasting Studio.
Color: lighter purple like violet and red
Nose: Dusty, blue cheese, old newspaper
Palate/finish: Dry, more tannins than the PS, grips the tongue, medium tannins. Tannins over power the body and finish. Unbalanced in that aspect.
Opinion: Something savory in the palate that isn't too appealing to me. Overall not bad, better and more of a wine than the first.

Grapes from south facing slopes in Rioja Alavesa sub zone.
Red berries…cherry and blackberries with vanilla, tobacco and cedar,
Fresh and lively acidity.
