High country Nebbiolo with all the mineral, herbal, floral, leathery fixings

I’ll stand by my June 24, 2021 rating. Consistently great.

Dark ruby coloration. Some translucency. On the nose, strong cherry, with some plum, smoke and spice. On the palate, rich, decadent, cherry, blackberry, plum, florals, spice, smoked wood, and a long finish. $65 at B-21.

Opened yesterday and had most of the bottle. Wanted to see what another day would reveal. Cedar is still showing but not unpleasant. Still has some real nice color but has thinned a bit. Nice tannins and this one could go one for some time. Earthy with some hints of black tea. Thanks @Todd Abrams you are a good friend!!

Фиалки, дым, клубника, летучка, черничный джем, лакрица, чернослив. Высокая кислотность.
Чисто, сочно, живо. Пьётся очень легко для своих 15%. Танины пока ещё слишком вяжущие, ещё слишком молодо.

Редька с мёдом, клубничное варенье, чуть животинки. Отличный баланс, никакого сахара, алкоголь не давит. Несколько насыщеннее простой вальтеллины.
