Not a wine of great depth or complexity, but of really nice balance and a great weeknight dinner companion. Nose has bright cherry and lifted minerality, as well as a bit of spice. Slender and juicy in the mouth. Great acidity and very smooth-textured.

Earth, spice, earth, red fruit, ripe black cherry, cassis and peppercorn. Big gripping tannin, chalky, black fruit. Reminded me of a Nebbiolo. Very concentrated.

Vintage 2015 - Made from Nerello Mascalese. Recognizable by its very light colour. You got to taste good to appreciate: good acidity, a hint of strawberries and good balance. Not mind blowing but some refinement. Good Italian choice for Burgundy fans.
