Marchesi de' Frescobaldi
Lucente La Vite Toscana SuperTuscan Blend
Consistently good.
Can’t find a better wine for the price.
Considering this was just released and only 3 years old (barely), this will only get better with time.

Big up front dark fruit and finishes extremely dry.

Dec 7th, 2021I had the 2017 vintage about 7 months ago... you wouldn’t think that much time aging would make a difference, but it’s noticeable. The tannins are already starting to mellow.
The merlot shines.
At this price, it’s next to impossible to beat the quality.

balanced. Mid+ intensity of blueberry, plum, black currant and Me sweetness (aroma), raspberry and fresh blood, vanilla, spice. Dry, mid acidity and mid well grained tannin. ABV14.5%. blend of Me and Sangiovese. Sunny side red wine. Good approachable complexity.

Aug 13th, 2019Put the 2013 vintage up against the 2014 Tignanello... and it almost won. Big and bold, lots of complexity... lots of layers. What an amazing wine, considering it's the secondary wine from this producer. I'd rather drink lucente than tig.

Jul 29th, 2018In 1995, Robert Mondavi and Vittorio Frescobaldi joined hands to create Italian wines. Their partnership was the first of its kind in Italy. A blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, deep crimson with berry fruit nose and light perfume notes. On the palate cherry currants and blueberry flavors with toasty oak and vanilla spice. Nice balance, fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with espresso and earthy notes.

Oct 2nd, 2017Very drinkable, classic Tuscan. Good idea to let this one breathe before imbibing. Nice notes of cherry and a little spice.

1 person found it helpfulMar 3rd, 2022Simple black fruits with a mild lift of acidity and very soft oak which gives the impressions of mainly used oak for a solid duration. Easy drinking without and flaws or really firm structure.
