Nice, but I like drier whites. Still, great pairing with the French victory over Argentina. Allez les bleus!

Went out to dinner and saw this on the wine list and was hard to look elsewhere. In southern Burgundy, at the northern border of Beaujolais, lies the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation. Pale straw with nice gold edges and aromas of citrus and stone fruits with a slight nutty character. On the palate grapefruit and peach flavors with lemon zest notes, showing subtle oak tones. The finish has lively acidity and ends with a touch of minerality.

An excellent take on Chardonnay. Tastes of oak, pears, some smoke. Finish is excellent and refined. Price is just OK. But a great white wine that is dependable

Lemon and citrus. Dry and steely. Medium-bodied but feels heavier. Costco always has it. There are better values but it’s a decent go-to in a pinch and widely available. It’s also a good choice to intro to your friends who only do oaky chards.

Pretty typical white #burgundy #pouillyfuisse - a little bit more buttery body and not as much of that mineral structure and acid. Has notes of pear, green apple, honey.
