Santenay Pinot Noir

Surprisingly dark color; light strawberry, herbs, and bouqet of white lillies on the nose; high acids, fine tannins and low alcohol on the palate with a fruit- and mineral-driven midpalate and finish. Might improve over a decade or a half; but quite awkward now.

Light, fresh, lean, light with mid red fruits. Clean and refreshing.

Took about an hour to show what it had. Doesn't need to age any longer, but it is drinking well now.

Great after the wine opens up a little. Peppery notes with concentrated red fruit. Great acidity with herbal notes on the finish. Perfect with roasted chicken this chilly evening. #josephdrouhin #frenchwine #santenay #pinotnoir #burgundy #sommlife

Smell of wineCellars barnyard funk, some dried spices and berries in the back. Looks and tastes much fresher than last bottle. Perfectly mature and enjoyable.
