Girard Winery
Artistry Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
A Bordeaux-style propriety blend of Cab Sauv, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Malbec & Cab Franc. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, with spicy notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with cacao and tobacco adding in oak and leather. Well balanced with acidity, fine soft tannins, long finish ending with oak and vanilla spice. Has room to age. Nice!

Sep 10th, 2020Winner of the night at delectable party. The wine that got less pours than three corked wines. Buy it. It's so good.

Leftover NYE prime rib sandos with this 2006 blew away the dinner the night before with another very well regarded producers 2006. My first vintage at Girard and so proud of how we've held up. Cheers!

May 10th, 2017Nice ripe blackberry/dark cherry fruit with a woodsy maple syrup note. Rich, soft, but not overblown at all. Lowish acid and a bit of puckery tannin in the finish. Very nice for short term enjoyment.

Dec 29th, 2016Actually surprised us for the better tonight. Pomegranates, grapefruit, and cherry on the nose. Those notes made it to the palate with cedar and a pleasing herbal note. Most of it went to the Parkers stew, but happy to have some join the glass!
