This is a nice Sauvignon Blanc from Côtes de Gascogne in the Loire. Nicely balanced with nice acidity, and feels very New World in style.
Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. Showing mild complexity.

Girard’s 19’s are a triumph. Best since 14 and 12. Complex florals, spice, ripe mid season cherries that are just bursting. So vibrant and lifted. Palate is bright and juicy with rich cherry fruit and terrific concentration and intensity. Very fresh but also matched by luxurious fruit that is perfectly ripe and just perfect. A great wine and vintage. Elegant with sweet tannin and lovely balance and texture. Remarkable value as well. — 3 months ago
Some of the best sleeper white Burgs are from Pernand and this is my favorite. Have had every vintage since 11. Gorgeous nose. Lemon drop, discreet and sweet wood. Really air, also feral and mineral. Caramel nougat but more in a terroir baby corton charlie sense than a barrel sense. Palate is bracing, fresh and so complete with minerals to burn, sweet wood, green apple and pear and all so refined. Excellent. Wow. With air this is a 9.5. The finesse now is here. — 2 months ago
