A find at local grocery wine department! Happy to see this 2015! Paused at previous notes regarding heavy oak...😳
Actually this wine is delicious..Bosc pear, Golden Delicious apples, mango, Creme Brulee, lemon, jasmine, and sea spray. Honey gold in color and medium bodied. For $23 👍drinking really well. — 21 days ago
Good balance of fruit with tobacco and earth tones. — 13 days ago
Crisp but with notes of apples pears and some minerality — 2 months ago
Nose is dense with a bit of honey. Pear. Quince.
Palate is rich. Nicely fruited.
Damned good. I just opened it bc I was thirsty. This is really good.
A hint of heat or id rank this higher.
On day 2 heat is gone. Richness is grand cru level. Utterly delicious and hedonistic. Still balanced. Nose has ethereal minerality. Kiss of lime peel. Wtf is going on here. This is like drinking corton charlemagne! Wtf? What the fuck ?!?!? Lingering mere kiss of elegant honey.
Whatever. This is a 9.5 even though it’s a village wine.

My last bottle and age your Fichots! Please! This is glorious. 19 is close to 12 in spirit I think. What a nose. Ebullient, expressive and pure. Black raspberry and black cherry with a spicey earthy note. Floral and underbrush but clear. Just gorgeous and will only get better with air. Air and Fichots work well together. Ahh, the classic Fichots structure. Stoney, straight and long. Always needs an hour to open at any age but the length, balance and wow that length are there. Incredible fruit amplitude and volume. Sappy and pure. Wonderful finesse has arrived after some air. Just a beautiful wine and one of the best values of red burgundy I’ve ever encountered. It’s great every year but some years like 12/19 are better than other. Also 14. — 2 months ago
