A pricey mediocre Rosé that music icon Bon Jovi had collaborated with French producer Gerard Bertrand. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Opens with fresh fruit aromas bringing in light red berry fruit flavors, high acidity on medium finish ending with a jolt of mineality. I think Bon Jovi should stick to making his great music!! Tasting Sample.

South of France Rosé lovers - you’re going to l'amour this!

The lovely Brenno from the Robnik Group recently sent me this refreshing 2018 Rosé sample to try.

Hampton Waters is made in the Languedoc region and is made primarily from Grenache with a bit of Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes in the blend.

On the eye it’s a pale pinky peach diamond colour. On the nose it similar smells thirst quenching, think red fruits (cherries, raspberries), lemon citrus and some floral notes. In the mouth it’s dry yet has a candy floss personality to it, it’s fruity and refreshing with a delicious citrus bite on the finish. Mr Spittoon also thought it went very well with our fish tacos 🌮 👌

Stockists include: @armadalecellars, @jefferies_provedore, @161cellars, @summerhillwineshop, @gangemisfinewines

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Certainly a striking physical bottle all around. From the textured glass bottom to the black suited diving lady. And that name. It’s probably elicited a snicker or two. Wine is pinkish-orange. Smells a bit like water and summer fruits (yellow-orange stones and strawberries). Flavors are also yellow stone fruit driven. It’s a decent little Rosé. Easy drinking, summer sunshine fun. (And at a non-Hamptons price point at Grocery Outlet!).

@Delectable Wine this is Hampton Water from Languedoc region South France. Vintage 2018.
WS rated this as a 90..no complaints for this Rosé sub $20!
Nice balance between melon..strawberry..grapefruit..minerals and a touch of white flowers! Crisp and refreshing!
Delectable app. Seems to be doing "a thing" again!

Sure I wanted to think less of this wine from Jon Bon Jovi, but on several tastings I have to say it’s razor sharp and clean, nothing “wrong” with it. Just nothing particular in its character. Was fun to drink it during the virtual tasting with wine.com and the winemaker, jon, and his son.
