Aug 8th, 2021A pricey mediocre Rosé that music icon Bon Jovi had collaborated with French producer Gerard Bertrand. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. Opens with fresh fruit aromas bringing in light red berry fruit flavors, high acidity on medium finish ending with a jolt of mineality. I think Bon Jovi should stick to making his great music!! Tasting Sample.

The lovely Brenno from the Robnik Group recently sent me this refreshing 2018 Rosé sample to try.
Hampton Waters is made in the Languedoc region and is made primarily from Grenache with a bit of Cinsault and Mourvèdre grapes in the blend.
On the eye it’s a pale pinky peach diamond colour. On the nose it similar smells thirst quenching, think red fruits (cherries, raspberries), lemon citrus and some floral notes. In the mouth it’s dry yet has a candy floss personality to it, it’s fruity and refreshing with a delicious citrus bite on the finish. Mr Spittoon also thought it went very well with our fish tacos 🌮 👌

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Strawberry, minerality, slight herbaceous note, floral, crush worthy rose.

Sep 11th, 2024I admit, as a primarily red wine drinker, I forget about roses until it gets hot and humid in the summer.
So . . . citrus, tart strawberry, hint of grass and a definite minerality. While there was a pronounced fruity aroma this definitely leans towards crisp and dry (as opposed to a sweeter wine). Red blend, primarily one of my favorites, Grenache.
Love the reusable glass stopper!

At the airport in Munich close to the mountain hub. Pretty good to very good food for an airport restaurant/hotel. Watermelon, strawberry and cucumber - pretty dry.
