Really enjoying this wine tonight - a nice balance between age & energy. Nose is fresh strawberries and a little milk chocolate. In the glass are bright red fruit, brawny tannins and a bit of resin. This bottle has come along nicely.

Medium ruby core with garnet edges. Aged characteristics on the nose with damp earth, a little espresso, a touch smoky, cinnamon and stewed plums. Medium tannins (6/10) and plus medium body. Dark cocoa on the attack of the palate intermingled with plums, black currants, black cherries and lots of spices. A bit of anise and the Petit Verdot coming through in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2018.

Has not aged well. It shows where a big fruit and oak regimen goes when there isn't enough tannin and acidity to integrate with. Probably was quite lush and big in its youth. Stewed fruit with no spine now.

Now we know where the CabSauv that refuse to grow up are sent: Cabernet hell. The 2008 totally rocked, and Kirk Venge reclaimed the mastery of his craft.

Beautifully smooth, structured & fruit forward. Opened in January 2023. Perfect to drink right now. Bought these awhile ago at the winery. Great experience. Even better wine today. Enjoyed with Rafael a chilly on Saturday night.

In a great spot right now, soft, fully resolved tannins, but still vibrant and fruit forward, dried currant and cherry, complimented by leather, herbs, vanilla and cocoa. Ethereal and enchanting.

Solid showing from Frazier. This is the family estate vineyard. Great clarity in the glass. Forest floor and a little petrol on the nose. Soft but slightly peppery with a hint of coffee in mid palate is followed by a peppery spicy finish. Little sign of tannins left. 10 years ago I remember the fruit showing through better. Drink now. Interesting change after two hours in a decanter and 1 hour in the glass. Hints of cherries on the finish. Reminded me of an amarone.

A bit too much fruit and not enough tannin for me, but I'd nevertheless drink it again.
