See previous notes from April 2024. To be critical a little too much oak influence for my palate. The palate is rich and enjoyable overall. To state the obvious the Napa Valley does wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon. A surprisingly short drinking window given by James Molesworth thru to 2027.

Dense but vibrant, this is Napa cab with an old world sensibility, lots of cassis and tobacco and leather and all sorts of left bank Bordeaux kind of stuff going on, plus some violets and forest floor notes lending a bit of an untamed edge. Tannins integrated but still making their presence felt, fairly tightly wound core of brambly berries, anise and cocoa

Primary red fruit aromas. Just medium weight with oak nuances on the palate. I can’t think of an Australian Cabernet that is as light as this and I’m really enjoying it. Molesworth said this was good if you like herbaceous wines (which I do). After a lifetime of Margaret River Cabernets, I can’t see herbal nuances in the Forman.

Deep Ruby red with aromas of ripe berry fruits, spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry, currants and smoky oak with earthy floral and black pepper notes. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, toasty oak and floral mineral character. Needs to age a bit more but nice now! Tasting Sample!

Jumps right out of the bottle. Smooth and grippy tannins. Delicious.

Jeez what a delicious bottle of wine. Supple body, fine gauzy tannins, core of sweet raspberry and mocha wrapped in black tea, dried herbs peppercorn and leather. Close to peak and should hold a good while

Soft, supple and voluptuous, the 2012 is a great choice for drinking while some of the more structured vintages rest comfortably in the cellar. Sweet mocha and spice notes wrap around the silky, seamless finish. @Severn Goodwin @Paul T- Huntington Beach

Tight but classy. After an hour or so the 2015 Forman started opening up a bit. Leather and tobacco. Mid weight but with an intensity that sustains for minutes after a sip. Delicious.
