Mar 25th, 2024According to the winemaker’s notes we were at least a year or two premature on this one, but I thought it was lovely. Subtle skin contact, acacia barrel aging and an intriguing hybrid varietal give this highly aromatic, pinot blanc-esque beauty a lot of interest

Floral aromatics. Citrus, saline, stone fruit on the in-take. Medium-bodied, good acidity. Elegant without being reticent.

From a single vineyard planted on pink clay and limestone, fermented in concrete and aged in Acacia casks. Still super tight, so decant if you choose to open a newer vintage within next few years.

Complex and strikingly original lemon-zest, smoke and dried-chamomile aromas pour from the glass. Then comes the concentrated but very refined palate,followed by a super-long finish that’s a cascading waterfall of wet-stone minerality. Just doesn’t want to stop! From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. - JS
