A blend of 98% Cab Sauv & 2% Merlot. Deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with black pepper, cacao and licorice notes, good acidity and integrated oak. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and mineral character. Good now, short aging benefit.

A classic example of what can be done with Napa Cabernet Sauvignon when it is done right. Concentrated red and black fruits on the nose, leading to a gentle burst of dark cherry and black cassis. Following up this is a mouth of rich forest floor and soft raspberry. Very nice Oakville Cabernet, it was.

Deep ruby in color with a nose of dark fruits including black cherries and cassis. Also hints of spearmint, cacao nibs, and dust. Big fruit right away. Full-bodied with medium acidity and grippy tannins. On the dryer side of Napa cabs, this wine is built to age. I think it may open up a bit more in 3-5 years or after a decant.

Notes of herb, light pine and earth under lush fruit. Rich and juicy flavors supported well by the tannins. Super happy I have 6 bottles hanging out in the cellar with 2017 incoming.

Deceivingly slightly lighter in body but 14.5 ABV ... It's not a wimpy cab. Notes of spearmint tea, perhaps even oregano. And, added blue fruit on the palate. Soft tannins.

Shockingly, Kris was up for drinking a Cab (“It’s the end of winter”) and jumped in to pick the wine. A winner all around: smooth, easy to drink — not too heavy and served at the perfect temperature. A great wine to share with Kris’s parents as we celebrated their 45th anniversary.

A rich, concentrated wine. Lots of dark fruits with some spice notes. Very smooth and accessible after some decanting. Everyday Luxuary is what this wine is about. What a beauty!
