From a 5 Bordeaux grape blend: 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 2.5% Cabernet Franc, 2.3% Petit Verdot & 0.3% Malbec, aged 24 months French oak, 85% new, Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe dark fruits, cedar and floral spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, black cherry and currants with notes of herbs, pepper spice and earthy notes. Fine sweet tannins, long finish ending with cacao, smoky oak, fruit and mineral tang. Very nice, aging well, but time will reward! — 16 days ago
Flight 2 , wine 1 . Quite deep garnet , less terracotta rim . This had a whiff of oxidation about it at first which seemed to somewhat dissipate with time . Some dark spiced fruits , liquorice and menthol hints , cedar and sous bois . On the palate good ripeness and spiced dark cherry hints . Good acidity and rounded tannin . Nice length also , offering some spiced black fruits and menthol hints . Don’t think this is a pristine bottle but was enjoyable none the less , I was unsure at first if this was Napa , but coming back to it … and reading my notes , it became quite obvious . However I had this down as the Ch Montelena , not the Dominus — 13 hours ago
1hr+ decant. I find Continuum extremely inconsistent and therefore overpriced. Dark red color. Stewed fruit, alcohol, olives, and oak on the nose. Wine is very astringent, tannic, and tart. Hits the palate like a razor blade. CDP elements on the finish. Maybe an insanely long decant would help, but doubt it. Some bottles great, some not so….a conundrum! — 13 days ago
Medium deep lemon yellow . Quite buttery at first , with some yellow plum , citrus peel , touch of honeysuckle and toasty oak . On the palate quite creamy and rich , but retaining good freshness , lemon pith , touch of caramel , butterscotch on the medium length slightly nutty finish . Balanced acidity with good extract , balanced alcohol . Ok medium length . This is showing a bit of age but it still drinking pretty well . Drink now . — 8 days ago

Pleasantly surprised. ‘97s have been fairly consistent as they’ve aged (not sure they’ve reached the hype of expectations, but some have), and this being a low-barrier to entry purchase from a reputable producer made it an easy choice to acquire.
Followed over a few hours from bottle and it held strong.
Faded color with the red core starting to dull. Quick whiff of some VA, but it dissipated quickly. Aromatics of old pipe tobacco, fig and brambly red fruits. Old school Napa on the palate (13.8 ABV) with a more lively profile…red and black fruits with cedar, more tobacco and some dark cacao (which turned to a confectionary chocolate Tootsie Roll taste at the finish). Acidity is hanging in there but definitely in the drink-now zone. — a month ago
