Just the kind of funky, earthy Pinot I like. Possibly a bit too much wood to start, but settled into a smooth Burg after awhile. Went well with Burgundy braised short ribs.

2012 vintage. Solid cork and fill. Decanted and tasted after 20 mins and 45 mins. Medium body. Nice dusty, dirty, funky nose with just a hint of barnyard that dissipated quickly. Great integration and showing quite well currently. Likely another 5-7 years in this current state. Not improving at this point 12.13.24.

Pop and pour yesterday. These 2017s are drinking very well young. On the nose: cocoa powder, soft vosne spice, soy, cola, brambles, wild strawberry, pomegranate. On the palate: fantastic acidity, pomegranate molasses, soy, soft ginger notes, and a very soft tannic spine. Lovely at this stage.
