Just the kind of funky, earthy Pinot I like. Possibly a bit too much wood to start, but settled into a smooth Burg after awhile. Went well with Burgundy braised short ribs.

Pop and pour yesterday. These 2017s are drinking very well young. On the nose: cocoa powder, soft vosne spice, soy, cola, brambles, wild strawberry, pomegranate. On the palate: fantastic acidity, pomegranate molasses, soy, soft ginger notes, and a very soft tannic spine. Lovely at this stage.
