I had such high hopes for this and the HB, but sadly both were not what they could be. If I ever encounter another bottle, I hope to see one better. The likes of Latour a Pomerol from the 40s, 50s and 60s are sublime, this btl of 28, not so much.

Plums and sour dark gnarly fruit. Quite lean and fragrant. Poised and balanced.

Huge smoky plum notes, big and balanced. Drinking beautiful now but so primary.

So good. Layered, nuanced and beautifully balanced. Just in the window.

Had in an eight bottle side by side. Liked the Merlot dominate flavors.

When New York comes to SF, it might look like this. Which is of course a good thing

Drinking at peak now, this is soft and plush and full of prunes. Dash of spicy oak, balancing acidity. Lovely, classic Pomerol.
