For some reason I’m not usually a Pinot Noir fan but I love this one. I’ve had other wines from this producer and enjoy them as well. Very fruit forward, paired perfectly with a juicy ribeye 🍷🥩

This was the artist label version. It was more expensive and I found that it wasn’t as good as the regular #Sonoma #loeb bottle. #pinotnoir #californiapinot

Light garnet edge to edge. Soft aromas of dark cherry, pomegranate and rose water with subtle hints of vanilla and clove. In the mouth cherry, black currant and cola dance with tasted oak, earthy mushroom and Asian spices. Powerful but restrained. Silky fine tannins lead your tongue down a long winding road of flowers, smoke and more red fruit.

2nd day had some cherry and pepper. Glad I didn't throw it out right away. Fun label for non wine geeks

Not a normal Pinot, but not in a bad way at all. The aroma has got a lot of darker impressions like black currant and black licorice. There’s even a hint of earthiness in there. Initially the body jumps out as it’s pretty thick and sticky. The black currant comes through in the taste. Aftertaste is delightful, it’s makes me think of a juicy plum where than tannin bitterness melds into the high alcohol heat. Enjoying this one after dinner on a pleasantly chilly night and it fits the mood.

Falls on the Syrah side of Pinot with pepper and spice and black cherry fruit. A little empty in the mid-palate. Finish is pleasing

I’d give the label a higher rating than the wine. Flavor lacks depth.

I let Ruth pick a bottle from Grandma’s wine cellar and boy did she pick out a good one! Blackberry, and a floral vanilla on the nose. Really syrupy and big bodied. Interesting kiwi note upfront, that turns into the tannic quality. Picking up an earthiness that is reminiscent of fresh leather but still a little fruity. Really digging this wine, going to let it breathe a little and hope that brings out even more florals.
