Celler Vall Llach
Idus Priorat Garnacha Blend
From 60- to 90-year-old vines, blend of Cariñena and Garnacha with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah, deep Ruby with aromas of berry fruits, spice and oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry, currants and raspberry with vanilla, smoky cedar and licorice. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, sweet spice and earthy mineral character. Nice!

This Spaniard should've been laid down for a decade, but life is short! Big elegant and layered tannins. Probably French and American oak- clove and vanilla accented dark red and light black fruits.

3 people found it helpfulFeb 26th, 20142006 vintage: Wow! This wine is as close to perfect as a wine can be! Albert Costa achieves perfection is his and his close friends' old vine vineyards each and every year. This "Ides of March" wine is magnificent with loads of black fruit, minerality from blue slate, freshness from the Garnacha and a long finish. It could easily go another 10-15 years, but this wine is soooo good now, so why wait??!! Paired w homemade chili and cornbread!

1 person found it helpfulJan 31st, 2015Black raspberry, cinnamon dusted blackberries, shaved dark chocolate and chocolate mint behind a velvety curtain of suede and licorice perfumes. Rich, chewy dried blackberry, mushroom, hot, turned, black soil, Mexican coffee, black currant, cedar, cinnamon apple skins and licorice extract bolstered by firm and persistent tannins with iron shavings and grill debris. Lovely wine with a steady, burgeoning intensity and expansive depth! Classic Priorat! #priorat #valldellach #spanishwines #spanishwine #2010 #2010ftw
