Smooth red fruits especially red currant and silky finish. Has to be one of the best Carmenere's of Chile. What a finish!

We had high hopes for this, but it came up a little short. I don't know if 2008 was a very cool year or if the grapes were picked too early, but the nose was dominated by green pepper. Interestingly, the palate was much more balanced than the nise portends - terrific fruit, nice acidity, and an expansive palate - so I don't know where this is going to go. The 2002 carmenere from last night is still at the top for our trip...
