Colchagua Valley, Rapel Valley

Clos Apalta

Valle de Apalta Red Blend

2014 paired with a CdB from spanish angus.
First time used my new decanter. Fun fun fun. And a great wine too. Big bold! Years to go. I can see the 100JS points.

Vik - Millahue Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2022

Very nice cab franc freshness that lift it up and makes it IMO somehow lighter and brighter than previous vintage — a month ago

Casa Lapostolle

Cuvée Alexandre Apalta Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

5 years is a great spot for this. It's inky and clings to the glass. Blackberry, cherry, cocoa, mint, graphite. Decent structure, it punches above its weight class. I'd do it again, especially with tri-tip.

Montes

Purple Angel Colchagua Valley Carménère Petit Verdot 2021

Inky dark color. Tomato leaf, coffee, and mint on the nose. More pyrazine notes on the palate along with cocoa, cranberry, leather, black pepper, molasses, raisins, coffee, tobacco, and dark cherry. High acid, high alcohol, medium plus tannins, medium plus body, and long finish. Despite all the tertiary notes, drinks vibrant and fresh. Drink now or hold. — 6 months ago
