Not sure why this is rated relatively low, as the 2014 vintage was exceptional (and ranked in the top 50 of Wine Spectator’s Best of 2016 list). Big aromas of cigar box and hard candy, mouth-watering tastes of strawberry jam, cedar and caramel... and most astonishingly, it retails for $15. Get some - now! — 12 hours ago
Very ripe color. Oak and oddly chocolate and cherry aroma but no vanilla. Cherry and chocolate on the tongue. Smooth. Balanced tannins — 21 days ago
Green peeper tootsie roll - the nose carries into the flavour. After all, what is your taste without your olfactory?
Green pepper, medium to heavy bodied, velvety fruits, dried grapes, pressed into juice.
Well integrated tannins, with just a touch of mineral like acidity.
As we leave for South America tomorrow, celebrating with a wine we brought back from Chile 2 years ago, after trekking through Patagonia. Love South American wines. The best bang for the buck, and so many hidden treasures. — a month ago

This is the 2011 Veramonte Neyen Espiritu de Apalta from Colchagua Valley. I’ve asked Delectable to add it.
This was my best wine and best red Chilean wine I had in 8 days of tasting 12 different producers.
On the nose; dark ruby, ripe, currants, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum with strawberries on the edges, dark rich, semi-sweet soil, black licorice, very light herbal notes, light black pepper, leather, sweet tarry notes, vanilla, cinnamon, core of anise, sweet loamy top soil, dry stems with dark fresh, perfumed florals and violets.
On the palate, the body is round and full. The tannins are round and velvety. Dark ruby, ripe, currants, blackberries, black raspberries, black plum, plum with strawberries on the edges. Dark rich, semi-sweet soil, black licorice, very light herbal notes, light black pepper, leather, dry crushed rock powder, tobacco leaf, vanilla, sweet tarry notes, cinnamon, core of anise, sweet loamy top soil, dry stems and dark fresh, elegant, perfumed florals and violets. The acidy is fresh, round and excellent. The long, ripe, ruby, elegant, well balanced, sexy, finish is drop dead gorgeous and lasts minutes.
