Clos Apalta Limited Release Carménère Blend 2011

Another cracker from Chile. Concentrated dark fruit with tobacco and dark chocolate on the nose. Still a young wine and will certainly develop in the coming years. More European Bordeaux style but with a new world ‘heaviness’. Tannins are evident but not overpowering and the more restrained carmenere grape releases great flavour but without the punch of a Cabernet dominated blend. I still prefer almaviva but this is a great wine and I really enjoyed it. — 2 days ago

Las Kuras Vineyard Cuvée Alexandre Syrah 2010

Big time over achiever. Serious wine that unique and true to it region but hits many Northern Rhône notes. Still young and takes a bit of time to really express. — a month ago

Amazing Chilean wine! But it truly reaches its full potential when you drink it with shellfish, like fresh oysters or scallops! — 10 days ago

Grand Selection Carménère 2015

Wine is young bit already impressive. I would wait a few more years, but if you are anxious like me, you won’t be deceived. Carmenere at its best, round and rich in tanins with a kittle berry aftertaste.
