Les Dix is a Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Carmenere and Syrah, produced by the infamous Lafite Rothschild. It’s rich and complex with 3 distinct phases. At first, dark plums, cherries and blueberries appear. This is followed by slight hints of raspberry. The second phase that integrates well with the first, begins with peppers and tobacco notes at the tip of the tongue. Thirdly, the peppers, tobacco, nutmeg and cloves expand, covering the whole mouth. This is followed by hints of soft wood and medium chewy tannins. It’s an expertly crafted wine, showing off the Cabernet at the beginning, followed by Syrah at the end and with herbaceous notes of the Carmenere throughout. — 16 days ago
Quite good aroma with balanced oak, black fruits. Taste is good balanced with smooth tanning, enough concentration with elegancy which should be created by blended with CF and so on. Completely different from other Montes single grape’s. @2250, wine plus BBQ, 190316-190318 — 5 days ago
Ótimo vinho! Coloração intensa rubi, bom corpo. Gosto acarvalhado, mas não muito. Gosto do álcool um pouco presente, mas em boa medida. — 11 days ago
A deep red color with dark purple hints invites you to fresh red fruit aromas such as plums and cherries and delicate notes of sweet spices. An elegant sent.
In mouth, a concentrated body with balance and length provides a good tannic structure and round mid, persistent palate.
Excellent Chilean wine... — a day ago
Hands down, my favorite Cabernet. Shockingly hard to believe, since it comes from Chile and not California or Europe but this was a surprise favorite. Wish I could find it more places! — 6 days ago
Very full bodied with high tannin. Good with food, otherwise a bit strong on its own! — 8 days ago
Until I caught the silky tannins after the first sip, you couldn't have told me this was a cab. Plum, leather and lavender coat the mouth - this is a cab that acts like a Merlot or Petite Syrah. Decadent and delicious. — a day ago
