Another Wednesday Wine Committee in the books. Great hosting by @Bill Makens . 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine all served blind.
Had no clue this sparkler existed. I knew right away this couldn’t be French or American...zero yeast and hardly any of those bruised fruit notes. This was super thin showing faint key limes, wet rock, and honeysuckle. Floral. I called this young vintage Cava. Don’t think these are meant to be aged.

Interesting wine but seems to be missing something. Lacking the zip of Champagne, the richness of Pinot Noir, and the finish of limestone. Love his red wines but this just falls a bit short.
