This is my second time tasting this #vintage of #closapalta from #lapostolle No question that this is a huge wine but it is pretty well balanced for an 11 year old #chilean wine with 15% abv. Firm tannins, medium acid, and strong black, blue, and red fruit. After 3 hours exposed to the air the finish on the wine became bitter. I don't have super high hopes for this wine being fully mature but I am definitely intrigued about what could develop. #chile #colchagua #carmenere — 8 years ago

This #chilean wine is showing well but lacks excitement and complexity. The tannins and alcohol are present. Some fun characteristics came out after a decant. Fantastic #chilean #chardonnay
Nice tension, structure, and balance with some really pretty floral notes and ripe fruit. The concentration was nice but the intensity felt like it was high but hidden. #demartino #chile I will be interested to see where this will be in a couple years. — 8 years ago
