Very brooding and earthy. Definitely speaks to its legendary terroir. #chambertin #pinotnoir #msclassic #delayeddelectable — 9 years ago
Corked. Below the foul smell you could tell there was the power of #chambertinclosdebeze #chambertin #faiveley #burgundy — 9 years ago
Beautiful! Full bodied burgundy with incredible seamlessness. Powerful red/black fruit, long finish. Elegant earthiness as well. It's all here. Just entering full maturity. The integration is well done in this wine thanks to an incredible producer. #2005 #2005burgundy #chapellechambertin #chambertin — 8 years ago
This #chambertin unfortunatly never developed into anything too exciting. There was balance and strength but nothing to elevate it to a truly great level. #grandcru #pierrebouree #gevrychambertin #cotedenuits #burgundy #pinotnoir #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
VA on the nose showing the hot vintage but still alive!!!! A very sweet and dynamic palate with stewed red fruit, an intact structure, and very earthy characteristics. This wine became better for about an hour and then slowly faded away. #chambertin #josephdrouhin #1934 — 9 years ago
It is key to #DrinkLikeABillionaire, but tis dreamy to drink "from" a billionaire, here, an achingly gorgeous Faiveley L-#Chambertin 1990 acquired from the #Koch Sothebys auction - still robust, still explosively aromatic, suffused with that old autumn leaves Burgundy magic — 8 years ago
A dusty wine with edgy tannins and tough acid. The fruit was interesting but the balance was lost. #chambertin #louistrapet #gevrychambertin #cotedenuits #burgundy #pinotnoir #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
This up-and-coming estate is run by women, which means they know their shit, and the wines continue to impress...this lovely #Échézeaux was my preference over the #Ruchottes-#Chambertin that was poured next to it...a lovely, almost silky wine that had that wonderful combination of finesse and power--MAGNIFIQUE! #GrandCru #1993 #VosneRomanée

Well kept but not in great condition. The top of the cork was slightly sunken and shrunken. The color was garnet and clear. The nose was fully mature showing oxidative notes and dried red cherry. Honey, apricot, mushroom, dried roses, and dead leaves. The heat of the #1947 vintage really came through with lots of warmth and body. Little tannin with some acid. A sweet core of faint red fruit, coco, and vegetation. Faded finish. An interesting wine for sure. #chambertin #josephdrouhin #burgundy #pinotnoir #ctbucklinwine — 8 years ago
