Château Cheval Blanc

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Deep in color and bursting on the nose and palette. A field of violets and subtle notes of vanilla - more red than black fruit in the glass. Very soft tannins and a balanced acidity. This wine is still very young with lots of runway for aging. — a month ago

Château Saint-Pierre

St. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

2019 vintage. This estate is on a roll, and this 2019 is absolutely stunning. Deep dark red. Impressive nose with ripe black cherries, blackberries, cassis, flowers, cedar wood, and lead pencil. Very elegant but powerful at the same time, with layers of black fruit, a velvety tannic structure, fresh acidity, and some salinity in the very long finish. Abv. 14%. Excellent. — 2 months ago

Lujan de Cuyo Malbec 2018

Absolutely delicious - one of the wines I’ve been most surprised of recently. Would never have guessed Argentinian Malbec blind - has a real old world character. Probably would have guessed something Italian with the excellent fruit/earth balance and the great lifting acid on the finish. Really very nice, and quite a value at $28. — a month ago

I am a huge fan of his Rieslings and have been for a long time. One of the bottles which i will actually take back to Germany just for fun. And as a reference for CA riesling.

Yes, his Rieslings are probably my favorite in California. This one showed beautifully last night with a delicious Chinese dinner.

Clos des Papes

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2017

Beautiful ruby color. Jammy hints of blueberry cobbler on the nose. Great flavors of blueberry, baking spices, fruit cobbler and mocha. Very nicely integrated with sleek tannins and mouthwatering acidity. I wish I could drink this every night! — a month ago
