First btl in almost 5 years. Pop and pour. Notes from 2 hrs open. Some reduction and evident oak. Good red fruit on the nose. On the palate: a touch hard and acidic. Funky reduction shines through and a touch thin. Rather disjointed.

The complexity of 100 years in the ground is pretty fucking obvious here if I must say. Not an instantaneous or obvious pleaser but patience and contemplation will pay 100-fold the person who opens their mind to this heady juice. Drank this over a 36 hour period. I probably had about 100 different experiences with it. 👍🏼

Very tasty with abundant fruit and good concentration. Has the stuffing to age medium term. Nice spice on the finish.
