Another oldie, probably just past its peak. 38 years old - not bad! Barn-sided red with some brick on the edge. Lots of cedar, graphite, black pepper and cigar ash to smell but little fruit. Nice smooth tannins, still a little puckering. Medium acidity. For flavor there are some darker berries and red cherry notes. It’s a nicely balanced wine. Good length on the finish. — 10 months ago
Good nose. Light but complex with a spicy finish. Enjoyed this one. — a month ago
This is a delicious 9 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Alexander Valley.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red and black fruits with wood, earth, vegetables, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee, dark chocolates and light vegetables.
Feels like a Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of earthiness.
Needed 2 hours to open up properly.

Dark berries with hints of licorice. Smooth finish with nicely integrated tannins. It’s a quintessential California Cab. — a month ago
Englishman Jonathan Maltus (of La Dome) Napa project. Nose shows blackcurrant, plum, cassis, pencil shavings, and clove with a herbaceous undertone. Juicy with medium to full body. Velvety tannins. Stylish, but lacking a bit of depth and complexity. — 3 months ago
Still delicious and has changed less with age than I expected. Not sure if I should have sat on it longer. It has gotten nuttier with hazelnut becoming more prominent. Still a lot of oak and lemon, with a touch of flint and brioche. It’s — 5 months ago
Killer young Zin. Loads of fruit on the front end. Plum dominant in a good way with currant mid palate and a juicy long finish. — 7 months ago

Spicy mulberry and blue fruit aromas and flavors, nice richness, good structure, medium-long finish, should develop for 2-4 more years, very nice! — a day ago
