Second wine of this estate located on the southern edge of Saint-Julien, blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, deep Ruby with purple edges, aromas of ripe black and blue fruits, adding notes of cedar and earth. On the palate flavors of blackberry and ripe blueberry fruit with tobacco, oak and spice. Fine grippy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, spice and wet earthy notes. Vines located on Pritchard Hill, at 16% alc, I am not going to spend a lot of time deciphering this bottle! Ever make that mistake? Unique Napa Cab; clove, black licorice, molasses, black cherry....might update as I sip!

The Cos was decanted two hours earlier and that helped lift the aromatics. Slight brown on the edge but plenty of classic Bordeaux fruit. Good cork . Shows very well and was a nice addition to dinner. Still has life and vitality.👍👍 — 6 years ago
Not one to drink a lot of white wine but this is a very well balanced wine . Good fruit, acids, minerality , and a bit of cream on the finish. Definitely a great white wine — a month ago

Just love this wine, new label! Nice blend of grapes from the Bierzo Valley, biodynamic. Deep Ruby with loads of Berry fruits aromas adding some sweet floral spice and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry, and strawberry with a juicy mineral edge. Well balanced and integrated with fine chalky tannins, lively acidity and a long finish ending with fruit and spicy notes. Tremendous value for such a complex wine. — 2 years ago

One of the first "Super Tuscans," blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Cab Sauv & 5% Cab Franc. Deep Ruby with aromas of black berry fruit aromas with dried herbs and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with cacao, tar, mushroom, vanilla and spice. Fine graceful tannins, long finish, well balanced, savory ending with oaky and earthy mineral tones.
