After lying down in my cellar for 10 years it took a bit of coaxing in the decanter to open up. The whole inside of the bottle had a light dusting of sediment (that’s still there in the empty bottle) and quite a large amount left after the decant First take was there was still a bit of wood in the nose which blew off in 30 minutes. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, ripe plum and black cherry with orange citrus, herbs, vanilla and oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with fruit, vanilla, floral, spice and oaky tones. Very Nice! Will age!
