Absolute party starter. Can’t honestly remember much about the taste other than it was light and easy drinking, maybe sour cherries. But the pop top, the one-liter size, the many moments we paused from eating dinner (grilled shrimp tacos with corn salad) to say, “Wow, this is GOOD,” made this a total winner. Tremendous fruit expression of lemmon, apples, good body and freshness. A well made and complete white for pure enjoyment. — 2 years ago
This Scheu is excellent. Some kind of a cross of Riesling and a wild vine by Georg Scheu in 1916 hence the name. Highly aromatic but more green than a Riesling less depth and build more for easy drinking even for this wine coming from old vines. Tastes a little bit like a Sauvignon Blanc. Passionfruit, hint of Pyrazines aka Grapefruit found in the New Zealand Savs’s. 🍋 Lemon. 12%. — 4 months ago
A&A left us a bottle of this delish mineraly — beautiful deep gold in the glass! — 2 years ago
I’ve only experienced quality Spatburgunder with Enderle & Moll, so tasting this Savio Soares import ( in proper Pinot stemware) felt like another revelation. Peppery & fresh, but enough mid weight to accompany a burger & a green gazpacho, & enough layers & acidity to keep it interesting. Gorgeous. — 2 years ago
