With >200 yrs of family history in Rheingau, this producer naturally grows mostly Riesling, but this PN is stunning. Medium-deep ruby brick color; nose of red and blue small ripe fruits, pronounced spiciness, and new oak but in amounts best described by the Swedish word ”lagom” (just enough); low alcohol but with a respectable structure from acids and small tannins, mouthfilling and a long finish where violets, mint, strawberries, and herbs linger. — 3 years ago
This is great! Off dry, lots of lychee. Solid acidity, only 11% — 5 years ago
Elegant but somewhat short. A disappointment for the price. — a year ago
So yummy. Dark amber and dry. Wine Colleen and Pip brought over — 4 years ago
A lovely smooth, slightly sweet wine. Can really taste the cherries. — 5 years ago
Excellent wine. Only slight floral notes, barely a gewurtz. Great with food and to sip alone. Perfect acidity and balance — 4 years ago

Magnum purchased at the winery. Rested 9 weeks at home. Stunning balance for an ultra hot vintage. While showcased by the crystalline quartzite (sea stone personality in an area of thin slate) the wine is still driven by the pure harmony of tartaric acid, European delicacy of yellow apple, pear, quince, hay flavors and the light kiss of Czechian oak. In pure harmony - nothing aggressive. Sophisticated yet anyone would recognize its brilliance — 7 months ago
