Rosé Secco 2024

Great rosé for a Thanksgiving spread, although it’s a little early (from MCF Rare Wine’s list). Dry and lightly effervescent with a handy reusable bottle cap. Minerals and hay on the nose, currant, sour watermelon candy, dried grass. I’ve had a Stein Riesling before, and the fruit also had a hard candy-like quality. Quality Mosel producer! — 5 days ago

Escherndorf Am Lumpen GG Silvaner 2016

Vintage 2016 | a meadow in spring. Beautiful yellow colour. Honey melon, Turkish delight in smell, apricots as well. Vibrant fresh taste, I love Franken Silvaner. Paired with shrimps. — 7 months ago

Palmberg Kabinett Trocken Alte Reben Riesling

Cheddar, sweet rye grass, the end of spring and the beginning of summer, fennel.

Beautiful roundness. Nicely prickly. Stone fruit. Not ripe, not underripe. Just right and in season.

Ripe orchard fruit. Fresh meadow. A bit of banana.

Dom Pérignon

Brut Champagne Blend 2008

I am not sure Dom is my jam. The overt amount of fruit and yeasty bread is a little too intense for me. — a year ago
