I had bought this wine for my wife who likes robust wines  - what a pleasant surprise in addition to its body. It had complex bursting flavors. Consistently flavourful from the first taste on my lips to the Gargle and aftertaste. I matched it with sirloin steak from an elk and some mushrooms with garlic, and the universe was as it should be.  — 9 months ago

Mostly deep and dark, with some dried red fruit and savory smokiness showing through. Peppery and some bitterness at the end. Delicious. Went really well with filet mignon in shallot-caper vinaigrette and roasted cauliflower, asparagus, and chorizo.
