So I felt like a bubbly tonight! Costco pick up..gave it a chill, removed wire cage..barely touched the cork, and it exploded off of the bottle!! I thought my bottle was ruined as my first glass and a half had no bubbles! Thankfully, the effervescent showed up..not sure what happened there!
Anyway, this is a new bottle shape for the Kirkland Brut Champagne. Produced by Manuel Janisson from the Verzenay region of Champagne. This bottling presents a tinge of a rose gold in color and shows more of a yeast nuance from last tasting that I really appreciate! Nice expression of apples, bruised pear, brioche, mango, and crushed rock. I really enjoyed this one! — 9 months ago

NV Pehu Simonet Face Nord Rosé Grand Cru is a 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay blend. Striking pale salmon color. This is Verezenay and Verzy Grand Cru fruit. This is delicious. Stunning acidity, laser focused finished. Beautiful dry champagne. Paired perfectly with Indian.
Because champagne is always a good idea.

An underrated producer for sure. Deep gold in the glass. The nose is resplendent with brioche and cherry aromas initially. A bit restrained at first but will blossom with an abundance of apples. There’s just a hint of floral aromatics but it’s very nice.
Pure Pinot Noir from the alliterative villages of Verzenay and Verzy. Composed of a whopping 55% of reserve wines which really do make all the difference in the world. Brut Nature with high acidity but approachable especially after some air and time. Terrific balance and structure and a long lasting effervescence.
The attack is all drama and excitement. Sharp and crisp in the mouth. Voluminous apple notes. Orchard fruits and more pretty red berries for days. An exciting and well made champagne. — 7 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The wine pours a deep straw, bordering yellow color with medium+ viscosity and a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of raspberries, lemon, brioche, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose though the fruit seem rounder on the palate than on the nose. The finish is medium+. A fairly agreeable Champagne. Disgorged in October 2022. — 15 days ago
