Deep, dark and contemplative. Fresh and lively nose, but the fruit is quite restrained and serious. Black cherry, prune, vanilla bean and black pepper with dusty, astringent tannins. Nose is of cherry with oak, a hint of smoke and fresh dill. Smooth with a dry finish, quite acidic, oak out the wazoo and a intense spicy kick to finish. Beautiful deep ruby colour. I would expect a little more sweetness for a tempranillo. Lovely red from Espana. — 8 days ago
