Pompadour Brut Rosé celebrates the life and times of Madame de Pompadour (mistress of Louis XV) credited with introducing Champagne to the court. Blend of 58% Pinot Noir, 42% Chardonnay, aromas of floral strawberry scents with yeasty notes on good mousse and bubble flow. On the palate raspberry and strawberry flavors with round yeasty tones adding bits of vanilla. Well balanced, lingering ending in true brut style, dry with yeasty mineral character. A joy to drink. — 7 years ago
A rich Gevry-Chambertin from Lucien Boillot. I've had a lot of Pierre's brother, Louis (married to a true Mistress of Wine, Ghislaine Barthod), but this is the first of my Lucien Boillot's made by Pierre. I think I like the quality and price:quality a bit more than the Louis Boillot (his prices have gone up since he left the Rosenthal stable). Fragrant, dark cherry, cranberry, earth, and some leather and mushroom on the nose and palate. Clean, deep red color. — 9 years ago

Dark and a bit malty, complex and smooth. Not bitter. — 10 years ago
Our son brought this to dinner for our 35th anniversary at our favorite BYOB last weekend. The wine geek in me says "Chilean Pinot?" Really?
This is what I love about my wine mistress. I'll never master it and my expectations are often turned upside down. I can't believe how good this was. well balanced, with strawberry and cherry notes. A heavier mouthfeel which I liked. But this if you find it, you be pleasantly surprised. I was. — 10 years ago
Well damn isn’t this drinking pretty??? August 2021 and I’m glad it’s ready when I am.
Some beautiful and sexy mistress perfumed funk. Dried spices and dried flowers. Nice earthy vibes too. Honestly, this one could go down as an all-time memory. Don’t tell my wife! — 5 years ago

@Robert Takahashi thanks to my brother in-law for bringing this gem!
He decanted overnight and we poured it today. Absolutely beautiful legs on this mistress. Thin and long! The nose is spectacular as well. Oak immediately grabs your attention. Blackberry, & licorice follows. The tannins are there and to be expected from such a young Dunn but they soon fade away as your thoughts lead the way to the next sip of enjoyment. Definitely a big boy!! Thank goodness I have my big boy pants on right now!!!! 😜👍🍷🍷👍😜 — 10 years ago

We loved this wine. Opened it and the St Patrice Chat du Pape as an experiment. Had FFT porterhouse one night and homemade pizzas the second. Best description - St Patrice is your wife, comfortable and loving and smooth, and Trevallon is your mistress, sexy and edgy and delicious. — 6 years ago

89 pts A wise man once said, Margaux is a beautiful mistress. True she is mystical, like a dream she is just out of reach and so alluring and this is insane value. A very good Margaux vintage.
Entering its window now, the nose is med and very alluring, earthy black fruit, cedar and wet tea bags, toffee whiffs, it needs focus and is pure pleasure to concentrate on every step.
The palate is dark fruit, pencil lead with more tea leaves, good complexity, excellent intensity and a finish which is broad, long and elegant integrated tannin.
Very much enjoyed. — 9 years ago
Somewhere between shoe polish and prunes on the nose with a streak of smoky allspice and juniper. Sarsaparilla tar, roasted eggplant skin, oregano, burnt corn, cat bed, wet leather, black beans, burnt coffe and cigar ends. Coffee-rootbeer, black pepper, black mushroom, and eel. Sleek and nuanced, but a mistress of epic proportion. #dankdark #bellsbrewery #neptune — 10 years ago
