1998 Sassicaia. Latm dinner at Ner. I preferred this over the 1999 Valdicava Madonna out of 3L. This wine had great length, lots of fruit, and didn’t feel as lean as the Madonna. — 5 years ago
Intense! This babe can last at least another 10 years in the cellar — 7 days ago
Classic rosso, great for pasta/ meat let it open. — 10 months ago
Great Brunello, more restrained than Valdicava. Great nose, smooth and structured. #ehrlich #winegeek2q2014 — 10 years ago
Shy at first, then after 45 minutes, exploding with dried red fruits, dried herbs, cigar box. Say what you will about the BdM, this wine was excellent. From Magnum. — 20 days ago
Mid to pale crimson in colour. Red cherry, burnt toffee, earth and tar. Juicy on the light to medium weight palate. Oak is noticeable but does not overly intrude. Herbal notes. A great match with home made linguine pasta. Even though only a Rosso has a cellaring capacity of another 5 years although pretty attractive right now. Lovely wine - a superior Rosso. Had another bottle 41 weeks later on 23rd Nov 2022 with consistent notes. Excellent food wine. Drank the 3rd and last on 20th December following the 2007 Valdicava. A very good Rosso. — 2 years ago

Valdicava is still my fav Brunello producer. Notes of burnt cherry, Tuscan sun Tobacco, and sandalwood. In a real good place. Long finish with silky tannins. Just yesss — 15 days ago
