Deep Ruby with aromas of blue & black fruits, sweet spice & slight mineral character. A blend of mostly Cab Sauvignon with small amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot & Cab Franc from their estate-owned Napa Valley vineyards, aged 18 months French (62%) & American oak (38%) (about 50% new). Palate, complex flavors, blackberry, plums & cherry with sweet spice, oak & tobacco notes. Well balanced with good acidity & developing tannins. Full-bodied, long finish ending with pepper & wood spice. Nice! — 3 months ago

Perhaps, this is one of the most approachable vintages (2016) for this wine. A very clean, an uplifting red, it also has an enticing ruby color transitioning to maroon. Amps up on the nose with a solid complexity and elegancy. Since this is Grand Reserva, it spends a minimum of 24 months on American and French oak. I can be fruity and with some spicy notes. On the palate, it’s elegant, hints of vanilla and sweet toasted. Elongated and silky finish. Already cruising its peak time. Drink now! — 3 months ago

Jack and Jamie Davies revived the historic vineyards and cellars in 1965. Today, their son Hugh, continues their mission. 100% Chardonnay pale straw color with aromas of stone fruits, floral and citrus notes. A terrific crisp sparkler with crisp apple, peach and lemon flavors, fine mousse with tiny bubbles. Tangy acidity on a long finish ending with a yeasty creamy character. Nice! — 2 months ago
