Severe cowshit on the nose. I shud have decanted this, but I’m impatient. Barnyard plays out on the palate, too. This is tannic, yet sweet. Structured, with a weighty mouthfeel. Superb finish with notes of cedar, roasted almonds and black cherries. This will be singing 3 years from now. If you like power and exuberance, give Eneo a try.

1 hr. decant & was ready to rock with my Duck 🦆 Dinner 🥘!!! Happy that Gary Pisoni put La Tache cuttings in his dirty underwear in 1983 prior TSA Bullshit & grafted onto vines in his Santa Lucia Highlands vineyard. AG nailed the notes for this wine, so I won’t duplicate. But on the nose and palate, I also detect kirsch liqueur, hints of licorice and anise. This wine has not moved since it was bottled. It presents with purity and power. Easily possesses another 20 years of runway ahead of it. Sheer ecstasy in a glass. My favorite Rhône producer. — 6 years ago
