Beamsville Bench VQA Chardonnay 2017

This afternoon I have opened the 2017 Hidden Bench VQA Beamsville Bench Estate Chardonnay. A 100% Organic Chardonnay from Beamsville, Ontario.

On the nose the is pineapple, apricot, lemon curd, creme brulee, honeysuckle, praline and almond.

On the palate there is lemon, pear, pineapple, green apple, marzipan, wet flint rock and minerality.

This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity that leads into a long fresh clean citrus finish. I hope everyone's weekend has been a good one and that the week ahead is safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Beamsville Bench Pinot Gris 2017

attractive, unusual gold color, supposed to be bone-dry, and it is , without sourness. a tiny bit of mineral, like a grigio, but smoother. I liked it very much — 3 months ago

Reserve St. David's Bench VQA Merlot 2014

One of nicest wines, full of dark fruit and flavour that is complex and long lasting on the tongue. Soft on tannins and so enjoyable. — 5 months ago

Honestly one of the smoothest Merlots I've had. Just so well balanced. The tanins don't punch you in the face but instead tickle your palette. I enjoyed the dark fruits and spices in it. Would drink again. Was a bit pricey but worth every dollar. Would be a great gift. Had this with a steak and it was the perfect compliment.
