Château des Charmes

St. David's Bench Vineyard Gamay Noir 'Droit' 2016

Nice, smooth, easy drinking wine to have with dinner. Medium bodied, fruity, but not sweet, which is great with a take out rotisserie chicken from Longos. Definitely, a back pocket wine for an impromptu dinner. — a month ago

Courtney Beamsville Bench Gamay 2016

Ryan M

Really nice - dry, opened after half hour - light-medium wine, raspberry, red currant and plum, minimal oak (good thing), though too much acid keeps this from being far better. Time in bottle will help and would be better with charcuterie to temper the acid. — 2 months ago

Between the Lines

Reserve Four Mile Creek Lemberger 2016

While I like this wine, my biggest issue is the disconnect between the nose and the palate. The aromas are very barnyard and pyrazine, while the palate carries lovely cherry and blackberry notes. Relatively little tannin, and less peppery than I was expecting for a Lemberger. Still, enjoyable and worth a try for how odd it is in Ontario! — 2 months ago

Montague Vineyard Single Vineyard Pinot Noir 2014

Really great depth of flavour ranging from raspberry preserves, to macintosh apples, to an earthy, tobacco-y finish that’s pleasant and leaves you gushing. — 2 months ago
