First Titus Pinot for me and very pleasant surprise. Being used to 'bigger' wines by this vintner, very sound expression of Russian River — a year ago
Love Titus! — 4 years ago
Had this 6 mos ago at Tasting, liked it, bought several bottles for cellar. Blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec, made by 30 year Chappellet winemaker Phillip Titus. Deep Ruby, purple edges, youthful aromas of black fruit, spices and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with some vanilla and tobacco and herbal floral notes. Vivid acidity & firm tight tannins with long finish ending with a youthful character, aging well should benefit from bottle aging. — 5 years ago
Excellent as always — 4 months ago
Star bright straw yellow. Inviting nose of tangerine and Juicy Fruit gum. Medium light bodied palate confirms the nose adding citrus rind, white flowers, white pepper, and skim cream. Medium plus acidity. Moderate finish. Excellent California SB made for light to medium fare, but still eminently shippable in its own. Drink now. — 8 months ago
Titus is my favorite Napa vineyard and their family reserve cab and lot 1 never disappoint. — 4 months ago

500 Chevaux is an automobile racing term; French for “500 horsepower.” Nellcôte founder and vintner Tyler Olbres is an avid car-racing fan, and has himself driven in the Monaco Rallye for Classic Cars. This wine is a high-horsepower Cabernet, meant to be sleek, powerful, and fully able to go the distance.
LAST BOTTLE Notes,
Nellcote was an uber-pricey luxury Cab that recently closed its doors, and, after extensive tasting through all the brilliant, incredibly fine-tuned Cabernets early last year, that none other than Phillip Titus (yep, THAT Phillip Titus, the legend behind CHAPPELLET and others!) made,

A medley of red fruits, raspberry, dark cherry with a touch of vanilla and distant toasty notes. Very silky and smooth. Most of the olfactory notes concours with the palate. Generous and powerful tannins. Simply delicious! — 4 months ago
